Igloo is now second home for GRP

Date: Thursday, July 5, 2007

Four more vans converted to temperature-controlled specifications by Leeds-based GRP have been supplied to Igloo Thermo-Logistics.
All with dual compartments separated by movable bulkheads, the new vehicles are all 311CDI Mercedes-Benz Sprinters transporting a mixture of chilled and frozen goods. They follow on from a batch of four similar vehicles supplied to Igloo by GRP a while back.

The latest vans feature side and twin rear doors that have been modified so that deep frozen cargo can be transported. A GAH fridge unit has been installed in each case along with Transcan temperature monitoring equipment and a Masternaut vehicle tracking system.

The Sprinters are being used to deliver food daily to schools in Leeds and the surrounding area. Igloo recently featured on the BBC TV programme 'Dragons' Den' and was successful in raising substantial funding for its ambitious expansion plans.
