Date: Tuesday, May 13, 2008

Isuzu UK is to launch two new pick-up models at the British International Motor Show to be held at London's ExCel exhibition centre from 23 July to 3 August.
Newcomer number one will be a single-cab 4x2 Rodeo powered by the same 136hp 2.5-litre 16-valve common rail diesel that's used in the current double cab line-up married to a five-speed gearbox. Approximate payload capacity with be 1,000kg and Isuzu believes it could sell 500 to 600 annually.

Newcomer number two will be a 163hp 3.0-litre common rail diesel automatic version of the Rodeo Denver Max LE double cab. A manual 3.0-litre will not be up for grabs initially, but could be introduced later.

Britain's Prodrive has been boosting the 2.5-litre to 167hp at Isuzu UK's behest, but that arrangement looks set to be scrapped.

Don't forget that What Van? will be hosting an exciting display of light commercials, including driving oportunities, at the show. Come along and check it out.
