Three more Vivaros for maintenance men

Date: Thursday, August 28, 2008

Building maintenance company Booker & Best has added a further three Vivaros to the 90 Vauxhall light commercials that make up half of its van fleet. All 2900 long-wheelbase models, the newcomers are powered by the 90hp version of Vivaro's 2.0-litre CDTI diesel engine.
Based in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, the firm despatches tradesmen to sites all over Sussex as well as to locations in Kent and South London. It maintains its vehicles in its own workshop.

It's by no means Booker & Best's first experience of Vivaro. “We still run a few on 54 plates,” says transport manager, Laurie Beetham. “They continue to perform well and should achieve a good residual value.

“When new Vivaros join our fleet they've already been ply-lined and had a bulkhead fitted,” he continues. “All we have to do is put our lettering on, fit ladder racks and a tracking device, and they're ready for work.”

The latest arrivals were sourced from local Vauxhall dealer St Leonards Motors.
