Western Power favours Ford

Date: Friday, May 23, 2008

Ford will supply Western Power Distribution with all its light commercials under a contract that's just been renewed. The agreement is for two years, with an option to extend.
Based in Bristol, and distributing electricity to 2.5m customers in the South West of England and South and West Wales, the company runs 600 Transits, Transit Connects and Rangers. It's likely to replace around 200 of them over the next 24 months.

Western Power is busy developing a plastic cargo box that can easily be switched from one Ranger to another as an alternative to the glass fibre bodies it currently employs.
