Citroën’s Nemo is the Benchmark

Date: Friday, September 18, 2009

Fifty Citroën Nemo 1.4HDi X vans have gone into service with major-league exhaust system and automotive component supplier Benchmark Distribution.

A specially-moulded internal liner plus the Extenso fold-flat passenger seat make it easier for the Nemos to transport long exhausts. They’ve been supplied subject to a three-year/90,000-mile contract hire agreement with Lombard Vehicle Management.

Elsewhere, 28 Citroën Berlingo Firsts have been delivered to West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service for use on fire prevention duties. Citroën is also enjoying success with the blue light brigade a little further south, with West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust aiming to put the first of six Relay 40 L4H3 HDi 160s into frontline action. GifaCollet of France was responsible for the conversion work in conjunction with Goole-based specialist ambulance converter Oughtred & Harrison.
