Citroën introduces VAT-friendly Berlingo Crew Van

Date: Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Citroën has unveiled a five-seater crew cab version of Berlingo on which VAT can be reclaimed. Able to handle a 716kg payload, the 725 L2 Crew Van features a sliding/folding three-seater rear bench plus a bulkhead.

If you require more cargo space, and only need to transport two people, then you can fold the back seat up and slide the bulkhead forward to create the necessary room. By doing so, you increase the load cube from 2.4m3 to 3.4m3, and the cargo area length from 1,320mm to 1,805mm.

Powered by a 90hp 1.6-litre HDi diesel, Crew Van is equipped with an unglazed sliding side cargo bay door on each side plus unglazed rear doors. For your money you also get Trafficmaster’s Smartnav satellite navigation system and its Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking system.

All the occupants benefit from lap-and-diagonal seatbelts and Crew Van costs £13,565 (excl VAT).

Citroën has also added an XTR+ version to the Berlingo line-up with enhanced off-road capability. Features include a limited slip diff between the front wheels, raised heavy duty suspension and under-body protection.
