Fleet Director keeps track of Citroëns

Citroën is offering to add a management package called Fleet Director to the Trafficmaster Smartnav satellite navigation package now fitted as standard to virtually all Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay vans.
Costing £19.99 a month, it allows the whereabouts of vehicles to be monitored remotely and warns the transport manager if a van is deviating from its usual route. Geo-fencing is included, which highlights instances of, for example, unauthorised use of vans by employees at weekends.
A two-way messaging service is provided too and a whole host of management reports on vehicle and driver performance can be produced. “Fleet Director allows managers to identify those drivers in greatest need of training,” says Citroën commercial vehicle operations manager, Robert Handyside.
