Date: Monday, May 11, 2009

The van version of Nissan’s new NV200 has made its European debut at this year’s Barcelona motor show. The manufacturer’s latest light commercial offering will be assembled at its plant in the Spanish city from November 2009 onwards.

With a 4.1m3 cargo area, NV200 can handle a payload of up to 771kg. It will be available in the UK solely with an 86hp 1.5-litre dCi diesel sourced from Nissan’s partner Renault and married to a five-speed manual gearbox.

It goes on sale in October 2009 in most European markets with the first examples destined for Europe assembled in Japan.
