Quartix takes Google Maps on board

Telematics firm Quartix has added Google Maps to the InfoPlus and Corporate versions of its pay-as-you-go software.
Google’s mapping, satellite, terrain and hybrid views are available, giving fleets access to maps and satellite images from locations named in journey reports. Google Maps’s zoom and scroll control also allows operators to trace journey details and find the nearest vehicle to a location.
The firm also said that half of its new customers are opting for the pay-as-you-go system launched three months ago. “Pay-as-you-go is attracting enormous amounts of interest and without doubt customers see it as the way forward,” said Quartix boss Andy Walters
