Recovery starts with a car-carrying Cabstar

A Cabstar-based car transporter has been added to Nissan’s Approved Conversion range. Grossing at 4.5 tonnes, and designed for either recovery or delivery work, it offers a payload of up to 2,336kg. That allows it to transport a large 4x4 such as a Nissan Pathfinder.

Fitted with an alloy body weighing a modest 390kg and with a deck area 4,950mm long and 1,950mm wide, the transporter comes with eight tie-down points. Alloy loading ramps are included in the package and the newcomer has a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes. Options include a light-bar and a 7.5 tonne capacity electric winch. Customers can choose either the 130hp 2.5-litre or the 150hp 3.0-litre diesel and the latter can be specified with an optional six-speed semi-automatic gearbox.

Prices start from £26,900 and the conversion work is executed by Northern Truck Bodies.
