CF Motoring Canters to the rescue

Date: Wednesday, February 17, 2010

Motorists stranded across the north-east of England are now being rescued and returned to their homes in three new Mitsubishi Fuso Canter 7C18D recovery trucks acquired by C F Motoring Services.

All 7.5-tonners with seven-seater crew cab bodies and 180hp 5.0-litre diesel engines, they’re equipped with sliding and tilting platform bodies built by Boniface Engineering of Thetford, Norfolk. The newcomers were supplied through Gateshead dealer Bell Truck and Van.

CF Motoring has since ordered two more 7C18Ds, this time fitted with spectacle lifts courtesy of Dave Bland Engineering of Stamford Bridge, Yorkshire. With a head office in Westerhope, Newcastle upon Tyne and branches in Gateshead and Sunderland, the recovery specialist favours Canters because of the high payload capacity they offer; sufficient to transport a car and its passengers.

CF Motoring’s clients include national motoring organisations, fleet operators and insurance companies.
