Nemo delivers the goods for CAS

Date: Tuesday, July 20, 2010

Forty-one Citroën Nemo 1.4HDi LX vans are going into service with motor parts wholesaler Central Auto Supplies (CAS). They’re joining the Wellingborough, Northants, based company alongside a pair of Relay 35 L2H2s.

Fuel efficiency and low CO2 emissions prompted the choice of Nemo says CAS operations manager, Peter Jipson. “We’re delighted with its 60mpg-plus economy figure,” he comments.

All the Nemos have been specified with an optional Extenso fold-down passenger seat. It means they can carry long parts such as exhaust pipes easily because the load deck length can be extended to 2.5m

CAS has also opted for glazed back doors rather than opaque ones. It selected the LX model so that drivers get to benefit from remote central locking, a nearside cargo door and a fully-adjustable driver’s seat and steering column.

All the vans were supplied through Norwich dealer Duff Cooper. More Nemos look set to join the operator later in the year, by which time they will account for more than 50 per cent of CAS’s 100-plus delivery fleet.
