Transit is glass act for AA

Date: Friday, July 16, 2010

Fifty-six Ford Transit 300 short-wheelbase vans have joined AA AutoWindshields. They form part of a total order for 247 Transits placed by the AA this year.

The association bought AutoWindshields in 2009 and is rapidly expanding the company and its staff.

Elsewhere, Essex housing association CHP is acquiring 21 Transits under a three-year contract with TransLinc. Moving west, and still with Ford, ‘Lions in Transit’ is the unlikely livery displayed on a long-wheelbase Transit that’s set to become a regular sight on the streets of Bath this summer.

It’s providing transport for the Lions of Bath; a pride of 100 individually-decorated life-size lion sculptures positioned in and around the city to promote its World Heritage status.
