Fleet Alliance wins Europa van contract

Building and facilities management group Europa Support Services has appointed Fleet Alliance to manage its fleet of 230 vans.

Following an open market selection process Europa opted for Fleet Alliance because of its online management solution e-fleet and its ability to deliver cost savings of up to 10% through competitive tendering.

Europa has a 2,500-strong workforce and a client base covering four distinct market sectors - corporate, retail, public and utilities. It operates a fleet of 230 commercial vehicles, comprised of Citroen’s Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay models, as well as 120 cars.

The van fleet is used by maintenance management staff to fulfill contracts at clients’ properties across the UK.

Fleet Alliance has switched all the vans to contract hire for three years/60,000 miles. Previously a significant proportion of the vehicles were on short term rental deals of up to 12 months.

Fleet Alliance has drawn up a new policy for Europa to supply a selection of green vehicles based upon whole life and CO2 emissions.

The company currently manages 8,500 vehicles for corporate clients but aims to expand this to 12,000 as part of its five-year plan.
