The average June value was down 2.1% to £4766 compared to May with age remaining static at 58 months and mileage increasing by over 400 miles to 80,714 miles.

Year-on-year overall used van values were significantly ahead (14%) of the same period in 2012.

BCA’s commercial vehicle manager Duncan Ward said that, despite the overall fall in monthly values,  which he blamed on buyers becoming less willing to bid on high-mileage or damaged vans, demand for good-quality vans ready for retail remained strong and had once more pushed up values in the fleet and lease sector (up 0.5% to £5973).
