Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has extended its Engineered to go scheme by making more dropside and tipper Crafter conversions available to drive away from its UK Van Centres.

Bodybuilder Ingimex manufactures all the off-the-shelf bodies for Engineered to go. VW said the vehicles are listed within the CAP price guide supplied with European Whole Vehicle Type Approval. All bodies come with three years manufacturer warranty. Ingimex makes the  bodies with galvanised steel sub-frames, resin-coated birch plywood decks and anodised aluminium side and tail panels.

In November VW launched a Bodybuilder Database to the UK conversion market, which provides bodybuilders with a direct link to the factory, enabling access to technical guidelines, information and CAD drawings helping them to design and develop their own products.

Andrew Waite, head of Sales Operations for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: ‘The Crafter chassis has always offered the ideal blend of big payloads and customisation options but - for some of our customers - an off-the-shelf model suits their business needs perfectly.”

Crafter Engineered to go models are available from just £299 a month on contract hire schemes or on finance lease terms with £1,000 initial rental contribution and free servicing.
