Hertz UK has appointed David Rowlands as its new general manager, replacing Neil Cunningham.

Hertz said that Cunnigham has “decided to pursue a new career opportunity” after 19 years with the rental giant.

Rowlands joins Hertz from audio tour guide company Antenna International, where he was the senior vice president of global operations. Before that, he worked as the vice president of international retail operations at Sony Pictures.

Rowlands will be responsible for developing Hertz’s strategy and business plan as well as leading the country’s vehicle rental operations.

“True to the values of Hertz, my mission is to continue to drive our focus on providing a superior service to our customers and a great place to work for our employees,” he said.
