Pets at Home appoints ATS Euromaster as tyre management company

Pets at Home has appointed ATS Euromaster as its tyre management company following a tyre audit carried out by ATS.

The tyre distributor identified opportunities to reduce operating costs and improve tyre life, safety and uptime following the audit on the company’s fleet, which contains 16 Renault Master LCVs.

ATS said the tyre analysis is typical of the inspections it carries out for clients. It uses an electronic data capture system to record the condition of every tyre on the fleet, while results are analysed to measure tyre pressures and brand adherence compared to the tyre policy of the fleet being audited.

The report can also measure the instances of tyre or wheel damage, missing valve caps and broken or missing wheel nut indicators.

Birmingham-based ATS said it now performs regular fleet inspections at the retailer’s connivance using mobile service vans from ATS’s Stoke and Nottingham depots.

“ATS Euromaster has made it easy for us to manage our tyres. The reporting system it provides allows us to monitor our projected costs and usage on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, “said Campbell Baxter, transport manager at Pets at Home.

“Thanks to ATS Euromaster’s honest approach, we are already seeing a reduction in fleet costs and are confident this trend will continue,” said Baxter.
