All-new Nissan NV300 revealed

Nissan has revealed its forthcoming NV300 medium van at the Hannover motor show ahead of it going on sale in November.
Based on the Renault Trafic, the NV300 sits between the NV200/e-NV200 and NV400 vans in the Nissan LCV line-up.
The new van is powered by Renault/Nissan’s 1.6-litre diesel unit, which features in the Qashqai and X-Trial crossovers, in four power outputs – 95hp, 120hp, 125hp and 145hp.
Efficiency-wise, the 125hp Combi emits 145g/km of CO2 and returns 50mpg while the most frugal panel van is the 125hp panel van which emits 155g/km of CO2 and returns 47.8mpg.
The NV300 is offered in panel van (L1H1, L1H2, L2H1, L2H2), six-seater crew van (L1H1, L2H1), nine-seat combi (L1H1, L2H1) and floor cab (L2H1) variants.
While the payload figure hasn’t been confirmed, it is expected to range between 1079-1269kg, in line with the Renault Trafic.
Inside, the NV300 features the firm’s NissanConnect infotainment system as standard, while the interior also fincludes a smartphone cradle and various cubbyholes offering 89 litres of storage.
Exact trim levels are yet to be decided, but the firm confirmed the likes of satnav, DAB radio, Siri voice control and a park assist feature will be available.
Safety-wise, every NV300 is fitted with anti-lock brakes, ESP, traction control and hill start assist, while the combi is offered with a tyre pressure monitoring system as standard.
The NV300 also offers a best-in-class warranty of five-years/100,000 miles – in line with the rest of the firm’s LCV line-up – while service intervals are rated at two years/25,000 miles.
Nissan’s newest product offering will be pitched against the likes of Ford’s Transit Custom, Renault Trafic, Vauxhall Vivaro and Fiat’s Talento.
