Continental launches new van winter tyre

Tyre manufacturer Continental has launched a winter tyre aimed at vans, which the company claimed can help improve fuel efficiency.

Continental said the VanContact Winter tyres’ brings a 5% improvement in grip when braking on snow, and 9% when braking in the wet compared to the outgoing Vanco Winter 2 model, while the rolling resistance has been reduced by 15%.

The new VanContact Winter is now available in 12 sizes, with plans to further expand the product range through 2016.
