DFSK adds weight to line-up

Chinese brand DFSK unveiled its C-series models at the CV Show. In showrooms in July, the range is available as a van (£10,995 – all prices exclude VAT), crew van (£12,495 – pictured , single-cab dropside (£10,995) and double-cab dropside (£11,995). All are powered by a Euro6 1.5-litre petrol engine.

UK boss Lee Clarke, who also revealed that a tipper is in the pipeline, predicted the dropsides would generate most interest due to the hike in payloads to 1245kg and 1181kg respectively compared with the 900kg maximum of DFSK’s K-series Big Cab.

In particular, he pointed out this means the five-seat double-cab is exempt from VAT with a 1.0t-plus payload. The van’s payload is 750kg (671kg for the crew van).
