Merc offers free winter health checks to keep vans on the road

Mercedes-Benz Vans has launched its ‘Winter Means Business’ campaign, which is offering free visual health checks for vans over the winter months.

The no-obligation checks include inspections of the interior and exterior of its vans as well as under the bonnet and under the floor checks.

“We know that this our customers’ busiest time of year and are committed to keeping their businesses moving during the challenging winter months. This isn’t a sales exercise – it’s about our business helping to keep their business moving,” said Steve Bridge, managing director of Mercedes-Benz Vans.

To accommodate the extra checks and to ensure vans stay on the road, more than a third of the company’s dealers will be working around the clock, with the rest of the network operating extended opening hours.

Merc has also re-issued its Driver Safety Guide from 2015, which offers guidance and tips on van maintenance in the winter, as well as a number of best practice guides from UK fleets on how they manage during the period.

The guide can picked up for free from any site across the dealer network, and a digital version can be found here.
