Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has signed a new fleet deal with Humac Civil Engineering to supply 31 Caddy Maxi Kombi vans to the company.

The new vehicles will be used as crew vans to transport engineers between locations, with the road repair contractor saying the extended wheelbase version of the passenger-carrying LCV allows the workmen to easily store equipment while on the move.

“The Volkswagen Caddy offers us the ideal crew vehicle for our business needs. Not only does it allow us to transport our crews around in comfort, but it also delivers excellent whole-life costs to help reduce monthly fleet costs,” said Adrian McDonald, director at Humac Civil Engineering. “This, combined with the Caddy’s excellent reliability and vehicle build quality, has helped to reduce any costly downtime and expensive repair bills.

Painted in VW’s Chestnut Brown hue, which matches the firm’s corporate colours, the vans have also been fitted with a partition guard behind the second row of seats and plylining in the load area.
