Isuzu has launched a new range of 3.5t chassis-cab rigid trucks.

The firm is applying the name Grafter Green to the new models, which have 125hp engines and sit alongside 150hp Grafter Blue models in the Grafter range.

The Grafter Green 4 x 2 chassis cab rigids are available in both single- and twin- rear wheel configurations.

Both have been added to the Isuzu Truck Driveaway pre-bodied truck programme, with availability of both tipper and dropside models.

Power comes from a 1.9-litre Euro6 compliant diesel engine, with no AdBlue required.

With reduced CO2 emissions, Isuzu claimed the vehicles are capable of operating in the new London ultra-low emission zone.

The vehicles come with a six-speed manual gearbox.

Compared with the previous model, noise while driving has been reduced, and new front suspension and steering improves ride and handling.

The new vehicles are also lighter than their predecessors, by 150kg for the single rear wheel model and 152kg for the twin rear- wheel model.

Isuzu Truck UK managing director Pete Murphy said: “Grafter Green introduces new proven technology to the UK market, with many changes to the specification that will certainly differentiate the range from its predecessors.

“As a global manufacturer, Isuzu Motors has listened to UK customer feedback over the years and the changes have now been incorporated throughout the new Grafter Green model range for the UK market.”
