Isuzu to launch new D-Max Fury in January

Isuzu UK has announced a new version of its D-max Fury pick-up will arrive in showrooms in January 2019.

The limited edition model is restricted to a production run of just over 400 examples, according to a spokesman for the brand, and is available to pre-order now.

The new Fury will get the 1.9-litre 164hp diesel engine that Isuzu introduced to the rest of the D-max line-up in 2017.

The original Fury, which the UK importer launched in 2015, was powered by the previous 2.5-litre 163hp engine.

Priced from £22,499, all prices exclude VAT, the Fury sits between the Eiger (21,999) and Yukon (£22,999) in the Isuzu trim hierarchy and, like the first version, is a sportier derivative aimed at younger buyers than the brand’s traditional rural-based customers and also those who cannot afford to pay the best part of £30,000 for the flagship Blade.

Finished in Magma Red paint, the Fury features 18in dark grey alloy wheels and matching radiator grille with the Isuzu badge in red, metal side steps, folding, heated black door mirrors with side indicator repeaters, black handles for doors and tailgate and exterior Fury decals.

The inside comes with cloth upholstery in dark grey with red overstitching on armrests and steering wheel and Fury-branded carpet mats.

Standard equipment includes manual air conditioning, reversing camera, seven-inch multifunction touchscreen, CD player and front and rear USB ports.

For an additional £1,000 customers can specify black and red Fury leather upholstery.

The Fury is available with six-speed manual or automatic transmission and comes with the five-year/125,000 mile warranty with five year roadside assistance that Isuzu UK offers across the D-Max line-up.
