Germany’s legendary Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit

Speedy delivery

Forget negative stereotypes about white van man – Volkswagen has redefined what pedal-to-the-metal LCV driving is all about.

The firm let racing driver Rob Austin loose on Germany’s legendary Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit in a Transporter, supplied by Northgate Vehicle Hire.

After two days of testing, and despite only being powered by a mid-range, 150hp diesel engine, Austin took the vehicle around the fearsome 12.93-mile track in 9 minutes 58 seconds, setting an unofficial van lap record.

Charge your glasses

EV charge point firm Pod Point has signed a three-year preferred supplier deal with pub company Fuller’s.

The deal has launched with new charge point installations at 10 venues in London and the South East, in addition to the three Fuller’s sites that already have Pod Point charging facilities.

Excellent Solutions

Venson Automotive Solutions has gained accreditation for the Freight Transport Association’s (FTA) Van Excellence scheme for the fourth consecutive year. The certification is based on the FTA best practice guidelines for the operation of Venson’s vans and LCVs.
