Alphabet supplies Medequip with van fleet

An initial fleet of 48 Renault vans has been supplied to medical equipment provider Medequip by leasing company Alphabet.
The vans, which are Master LM35dCi 150 Energy Business models, have been converted by Modul-System to a bespoke spec to meet the firm’s needs.
This included making them easy to clean internally, and having divided sections to keep items separated, which could also be adjusted in size, depending on the items being transported.
With Medequip not being able to visit Modul-System’s site to review a prototype, due to coronavirus measures, Alphabet worked with Modul-System to deliver a 10% virtual process, with 360-degree images and videos of the van inside and out.
Alphabet also assisted with the delivery process, collecting the fleet and arranging for the livery to be applied before delivery to the converter, speeding up the process.
Alphabet is providing full contract hire, maintenance, and LCV consultancy for Medequip, and has taken a further order for 25 LCVs, including a Ford Transit Custom plug-In hybrid vehicle for a trial in London.
Medequip fleet manager Peter Gaunt said: “Working with Alphabet as a partner has been perfect for our requirements, providing us with strong guidance and support throughout the entire process.
“The team understood our specific requests, steering us towards the right make and model of vehicle that would be the best fit for our needs and accommodate the equipment our workers are transporting.
“The speed at which this was executed also helped us to keep costs in check before new regulation came into force at the end of this year."
