A new electric pick-up truck has been unveiled by Scottish EV brand Munro.

The MK_1 Pick-up offers 375hp of electric power and 700Nm of torque, together with a mechanical full-time 4x4 drivetrain.

An 92.4kWh battery is said to allow a range of more than 190 miles, while a 15-80% recharge will be possible with a 100kW DC charger in 36 minutes.

The truck’s load bed can accommodate a 1,050kg Europallet, while the Performance variant has a 3,500kg maximum braked towing capacity.

Prices for the model, said to be targeting market sectors such as mining, construction, utilities, agriculture, and defence, start at £49,995 excluding VAT, with deliveries starting later this year. However, Munro says it has already received more than 200 orders, equal to the next one-and-a-half years of production.
