Van leasing giant Leaseplan UK has appointed a new dealer network dedicated solely to the supply of its light commercial vehicles.

The move marks the splitting up of its car and van supply operations and Leaseplan said the 27-site network would also provide a wide range of converted LCV bodies and ancilliary equipment at competitive prices as well as keeping customers up to speed with the latest type approval requirements covering the whole of the European Union.

CV boss Mark Lovett, who heads up a five-strong team dedicated to the light commercial vehicle operation, said: “The management and delivery of vans and commercial vehicles can often be complex. By working with professional suppliers that have in-depth knowledge of the latest vehicles, legislation and products available, we will continue to make LeasePlan stand out as leaders in commercial vehicle leasing.

“The launch of our appointed commercial vehicle dealer network is a completely new initiative for LeasePlan. Previously, we used the same dealer network to supply both cars and vans. All vans, be they simple standard panel vans or more complex converted vans were previously supplied to customers through a predominantly passenger car orientated dealer network.

“The appointment of this new supplier and converter network ensures the right level of expertise and specialist guidance is taken advantage of when placing commercial vehicle orders.”
