Scot Seat Direct is a family-owned and run business manufacturing specialist seating for light commercial vehicles, as well as buses, trains, fire engines, military vehicles and boats. 

Established in 2000, the company now employs 49 people and covers all aspects of manufacturing at its facility in Ayrshire and supplies seats to a worldwide customer base.

Scot Seat Direct’s range of in-house skills includes metal fabrication, joinery, upholstery, spray painting/ coating and composite manufacture. The business is able to facilitate both small and large orders to customers’ specific requirements.

Scot Seat produce seats for virtually all models of commercial vehicles from car-derived vans, 4x4 LCVs through to additional seating for HGV’s. It also makes crash-tested seating and floor systems for welfare vans, taxis, buses and mobility vehicles, specialist seats for fire engines and ambulances and crash-tested seats that fold out to a bed for camper vans.
