Lightfoot's Fleet Driver of the Month is an exciting initiative where, for the first time, better fleet drivers are being recognised and rewarded with a series of prizes, including weekend breaks, spa visits and supercar track days.
What is your job title?
Installation field technician.
What does that involve?
Delivering and installing electrical appliances.
What is your favourite part about it?
Meeting customers and making sure that everything works as it should.
What would be your dream vehicle?
Not something too flash - probably just a Honda Civic Type R or a Ford Focus RS - they both look nice, perform well and aren’t too fancy.
Is driving something that you enjoy?
Yes - very much so. I passed my test in 1999 and I just love it!
Do you have a favourite drive?
Not really. Usually I drive around countryside areas or the small town we’re based in, which is beautiful.
What would be your dream job?
I don’t know really. I would probably say something related to sports?
What do you do when you are not at work?
I like sports – I’m a big football fan and I also do a bit of running.
What vehicle do you drive at work?
A long-wheel-based Ford Transit.
What would you say Lightfoot has changed about your driving?
I am more conscious of my driving and I actually found it quite easy to adapt to. All the engineers here think it’s effective, even though they found it a little bit more difficult to pick up at first.
What would you say to encourage another driver to use Lightfoot?
I had a conversation recently with two people who are also fleet drivers - I told them how much we’ve all improved by using Lightfoot and they were really interested.
Is there any improvement you think we could make to Lightfoot?
What prize did you win?
The Christmas Hamper from Fortnum and Mason’s. All prizes that drivers win look amazing, and they’re all prizes that you’d want to win too.
“We are happy our drivers can now be rewarded for safer, more efficient behaviour on the road. The FDotW initiative is engaging and it’s proving to be great motivation for our drivers”
