Long Term Test: Renault Master - May 2012

Date: Wednesday, May 2, 2012

A large roll of carpet that was definitely past its sell-by date plus some rapidly disintegrating cupboards and bits and pieces of packaging material were among the loads our long-term Renault Master Sport has been obliged to swallow in recent weeks

All fell into the category of domestic waste, and all ended up legally disposed of at the council tip in Ross-on-Wye.
Every time we load and unload our Master we’re grateful that we can access the load area from three sides, and that all three door apertures are of a decent height and width. However, we are rather less appreciative of the irritating squeaking noise that emanates from the cargo bay every so often. We reckon it might be from the bottom of the bulkhead, but we’re not entirely sure. So for the moment we’re responding by turning the radio up and hoping it will go away. Otherwise, our Master is performing well – and its fuel economy seems to be improving week by week.    Steve Banner
