Celebrating some of the most capable IVECO vehicles on the road, the IVECO Mission Awards return for 2025, this time encompassing the full IVECO range. Each quarter, you’ll find our IVECO Daily shortlists on these pages, all before the range comes together for the ultimate showdown at a black-tie awards evening at the end of the year.
The Grounds Maintenance & Waste Management category is always hotly contested, but with strength and versatility being core components of IVECO DNA, these vehicles are the perfect partner for demanding missions.
As many local municipalities are looking to lower emissions in this sector, it comes as no surprise that both finalists in this category are IVECO eDaily, supporting councils and their communities.

Maidstone Borough Council – Haynes Trucks
Supporting its groundwork and maintenance department, Maidstone Borough Council replaced existing diesel vehicles on its fleet with a dynamic duo of eDaily (42C14e) Beavertails. The 4.25t eLCVs are equipped with two batteries, which provides a range of up to 124 miles on a single charge – plenty to complete the day-to-day mission without sacrificing on payload or capability.
Primarily, these eDaily are used to transport ride-on lawnmowers, but have been carefully designed to provide support for year-round applications. AKFS and Haynes Trucks worked closely with Maidstone Borough Council to ensure the beavertail conversion would be 100% fit for purpose, even including a raised tool pod, which allows the mower blades to be safely stored away and ensures safe and easy access to tools and fuel storage.
The eDaily were supplied by Haynes Trucks, with IVECO’s impressive battery warranty of eight years or up to 155,000 miles. Mission Awards judges praised Maidstone Borough Council’s attention to detail on the conversion, citing the vehicles as “a well thought out, environmentally friendly package”.

Lewes District Council – Northern Commercials
Like many other local authorities in the UK, Lewes District Council is looking to decarbonise across its departments. Its Waste Management Division has rolled out three IVECO eDaily (42S14e) rubbish collectors. The three-battery configuration allows for a range of up to 186 miles, whilst delivering enough power to run the compactor. The Terberg Matec UK Ltd waste compactor was a conversion designed, manufactured and fitted with safety in mind. It comes complete with twin sliding side doors on both sides, rear barn doors, onboard vehicle axle weighing systems, safety guards and a 360-degree camera system – all of which is powered by the eDaily’s ePTO.
In the winter, drivers can benefit from heated and adjustable electric mirrors, front fog lamps, and climate control; whilst a suspended driver’s seat is inspired by this IVECO’s larger truck siblings.
The vehicles were supplied by Northern Commercials with their durable design providing confidence for their planned eight-year operation in Lewes. Judges were amazed by the unique bodybuild and livery.
