Renault releases details of all-new UK Kangoo

Better late than never, Renault's all-new Kangoo arrives in UK dealerships in November, some months after left-hand drive versions appeared on Continental markets. Two wheelbases will be up for grabs — the shorter one will be marketed under the Compact banner — with prices starting at £8,690 for Kangoo Compact and £9,390 for Kangoo Van.

Basic equipment on all models will include a full-height steel bulkhead, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, a radio/CD player with fingertip controls and remote central locking. With a 2.3m3 cargo box Compact will have a 500kg payload capacity, with its bigger stablemate capable of handling 650kg or 800kg and offering a 3.0m3 load area.

Engine choices in Kangoo Van consist of a 1.5-litre dCi diesel at 70hp, 85hp or 105hp plus a 1.6-litre petrol lump at either 90hp or 105hp. The line-up is the same for Compact apart from the fact that it is not available with either of the 105hp units.

Options on offer include Bluetooth compatibility, rear parking sensors, a speed limiter and a sliding roof flap.
