Glass bodies for Nissan Cabstars

Date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009

Glass transportation system specialist Supertrucks of St Helens has supplied lightweight all-alloy coach-built glass-carrying bodies for a pair of Nissan Cabstar 3.5 tonne long-wheelbase chassis cabs.

The first Supertrucks bodies to be built on Cabstars, they’ve been delivered to Dochy Glass of Verne, Belgium. They’re designed to meet the new ECE104 legislation in force there which governs the transportation of glass.

Fitted with specialised load restraint systems, each of the tapered-section bodies is 3.7m long and features a full-length external glass-carrying rack plus twin internal racks. Maximum internal height is 2.2m.
