GVS Assist takes on Vauxhall Combos

Date: Thursday, October 21, 2010

Maintenance supplier GVS Assist has purchased 20 new Vauxhall Combo vans for its 120-strong vehicle fleet.

The vans, which are all powered by the 1.3-litre 75hp engine, are expected to cover between 30,000 and 40,000 miles per year.

The Combos come with air-conditioning and ultra sonic alarms and GVS has also specified a near-side sliding door to provide its engineers with easy access to the load area.

The vans have uprated suspension to carry a payload of 732kg and are ply lined to protect the interior.

GVS Assist specialises in the supply and maintenance of food and beverage vending machines, refrigerated display coolers and commercial coffee machines.

Charlie Price, the company’s marketing executive, said: “The vehicle has low C02 emissions and the van’s capacity and practicality best suited our operations. We need both payload and volume and the Combos deliver both.”

The Combos emit 134g/km C02 and have a load volume of 3.2 cubed metres.
