New look for Corsavan

Vauxhall has confirmed to What Van? that it is to revamp its Corsavan alongside the passenger car version of the same model.
“It will be identical to the car with new colours and interior treatment,” said Vauxhall’s commercial vehicle brand manager Steve Bryant.
Available from January 2011, the Corsavan gets an all new front end featuring a signature chrome bar bearing the latest Griffin badge, which stretches across the front grille. It also gets a re-styled front bumper and eagle-eye headlamps.
The revised Corsavan will be offered in two trim levels – Standard and Sportive. The changes to the van’s appearance follow the introduction of Euro 5 engines to the line-up in September.
The most frugal Corsavan, the 1.3 CDTI ecoFlex, currently has CO2 emissions of 105g/km, but CV sales manager Richard Collier claimed that if the greenest vans were, like cars, given exemption from the London Congestion Charge, then the manufacturer would strive to bring emissions below the 100g/km threshold.
“ We are trying to lobby the Government on the congestion charge,” said Collier.
“If there was an opportunity to get congestion charge exemption we could challenge our engineers to get sub-100g emissions.”
