Peugeot launches new rental scheme

A rental service that allows customers to hire everything from a scooter to a van under the ‘Mu by Peugeot’ banner is being piloted by the manufacturer through Robins and Day dealerships in London and Bristol.

The vehicles are paid for by using a pre-paid Mu card that can be topped up with credits online. As an example a Boxer costs £50 for a day.

Already in operation in France and in the capital cities of Germany, Spain and Italy, the scheme will be rolled out across nine European countries between now and 2011.
