Courier firm Absolutely launches drinks transportation arm

London-based courier Absolutely has launched a new sub-brand to service the drinks and perishable goods market.
Called Absolutely Chilled, the company is using a “low number” of Ford Transit 350 high-top long wheelbase vans to deliver the goods on a same-day service pattern.
The vans have been converted to store the goods at -31 degrees while in transit, and the business operates out of Absolutely’s branch, near to food distribution hub in Park Royal, north London.
“We are delighted to launch Absolutely Chilled to service our customers in the drinks and perishable food market. We believe using the brand Absolutely Chilled along with suitable livery on our vehicles will capture customers’ imagination and will be an excellent platform to launch the service into a significant local market,” said Jeremy Thompson, managing director of Absolutely.
The foods and drinks arm will operate alongside Absolutely’s other services, which includes same day delivery, next day delivery, international delivery and executive cars.
