ExxonMobil has launched a range of high-performance engine lubricants designed specifically for light commercial vehicles.

Arriving under the Mobil Delvac brand, which specialises in lubricants for larger commercial vehicles, the list of new products include four City Logistics 5W-30 lubricants and one Light Commercial Vehicle E 10W-40 engine oil, which have been approved by the likes of Citroen, Ford, Iveco, Peugeot, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen.

ExxonMobil says the City Logistics 5W-30 fully synthetic lubricants are formulated to tackle city driving conditions, while the Light Commercial Vehicle E 10W-40 semi-synthetic product is said to “promote long engine life for older light commercial vehicles”.

The company claims the product range is the first tailored engine oil in Europe specifically for vans.

“We’re delighted to be launching our tailored light commercial vehicle lubricant range,” said Richard Grist, European commercial vehicles marketing manager at ExxonMobil Fuels and Lubricants. “This is the first comprehensive, dedicated light-duty offer for the European market and will help us ensure we deliver the right products for this rapidly growing sector of the industry.”

He continued: “When you switch to our Mobil Delvac product range, you can rest assured that with our extensive experience in the commercial vehicle lubricants sector, we aim to provide you peace of mind that your vehicle engine is well protected, even in tough start-stop city driving conditions.”

As well as providing engine protection, the lubricants are marketed as an aid to maintaining fuel economy.
