Mitsubishi kits out the L200 at CV Show

Mitsubishi used the exhibition to launch the L200 Barbarian SVP. The initials stand for Special Vehicle Projects, a new programme which denotes generously-equipped special editions produced in limited numbers.

Using the L200 Barbarian Double Cab 4x4 pick-up as its starting point, the Barbarian SVP features 17ins bespoke black alloy wheels, new wheel arch extensions and shark-fin-inspired side steps among other goodies. Just 250 will be built.

The truck is apparently inspired by the one-off Mitsubishi L200 Desert Warrior Pre-runner which was also exhibited. It boasts an external roll cage, a heavily-modified suspension system and oversized wheels with self-inflating tyres.
