Renault has revealed UK pricing and specification for its revised Kangoo Van ZE that will arrive in showrooms in November.

Dubbed the ZE.33 due to its new 33kW battery that the manufacturer claimed has increased range by 50% to 124 miles under real world conditions in summer and up to 99 miles in winter (170 miles on the laboratory NEDC test cycle), the plug-in van will cost from £14,195 excluding VAT and after the 20% Plug-in-Van grant but not including the battery lease.

Customers can choose from five monthly battery lease options, which are dependent upon annual mileage.

Up to 4,500 miles costs £49, up to 6,000 is £57, up to 7,500 miles rises to £65, up to 9,000 miles steps up to £73 and up to 10,500 miles peaks at £81.

Renault is also offering the ZE.33 as an outright purchase, with prices starting from £17,741, excluding VAT and the Plug-in-Van grant.

The model is available in four versions – Kangoo Van ZE.33, priced £14,195 excluding battery lease or £17,741 as an outright purchase, with two seats and a load volume of 3.6m3, Kangoo Maxi Van ZE.33 (£15,335 or £18,881), with two seats and a 4.6mload capacity, Kangoo Maxi Crew Van ZE.33 (£16,019 or £19,565), with five seats and a load space of 1.3m3 and Kangoo Maxi Crew Van Cab ZE.33 (£16,779 or £20,325), which features a multi-positional bulkhead that can be adjusted to accommodate either a crew of five people or a load of 3.6m3.

All derivatives come in Business trim level and new features include the option of permanent Eco mode, priced £150, to increase range by a claimed 10% by modifying throttle response. It was previously offered only as a driver operated selection. Also available is an optional heat pump incorporated into the air-conditioning system, which Renault claimed can heat the interior in cold weather without diminishing battery range. It comes with a price tag of £965.

Other options include rear-parking sensors for £200, R-Link sat-nav and infotainment (£675) and cruise control with speed limiter (£200) – all prices exclude VAT.

Servicing and warranty options range from 12 months/18,000 miles (£159) to 24 months/36,000 miles (£309) and 36 months/48,000 miles (£519).
