Peugeot has supplied 27 LCVs to be used to support the running of London’s Dockland Light Railway.

The vehicles have been supplied to Keolis Amey Docklands, the joint venture that holds the franchise to operate and maintain the service.

Vehicles supplied include models from the Partner, Expert and Boxer van and crew van ranges, the Traveller Business passenger range and the Peugeot Built for Business conversions range.

The panel vans have been fitted out by converter Bott to carry the required tools and equipment.

Funded by PSA Group’s Free2Move Lease division, the vehicles are supplied on a three-year, full maintenance contract hire agreement, which includes a replacement vehicle, where needed, within four hours.

The vehicles are expected to cover between 8,000-10,000 miles per year.

Keolis Amey Docklands fleet coordinator Daniel Tweede said: “We have worked very closely with Peugeot, the supplying dealer, Robins and Day Peugeot Maidstone, and the converters, to ensure that the vehicles meet our requirements and are as future-proofed as possible for operation within the London Ultra-Low Emissions Zone that comes into force in less than a year.

“Peugeot’s low emission vehicle range and flexible approach were important factors in securing the deal.”

PSA Group UK fleet director Martin Gurney said: “Keolis Amey Docklands needs a wide range of vehicles capable of supporting the varied work their franchise entails.

“The extensive nature of the Peugeot LCV range has ensured that we can provide a variety of models and converted vehicles to meet the demands placed on a specialist fleet operating in central London, often in restricted spaces and it is a pleasure to work with Keolis Amey Docklands as a partner in this project.”
