Thrifty Car and Van Rental has launched a new partnership with British Cycling, including the supply of 31 fleet vans

The deal, which includes 67 vehicles in total, will help to facilitate a number of cycling programmes including HSBC UK Go Ride.

The partnership also means British Cycling’s 146,000 members can get a 10% rental discount.

Chris Bagwell, manager of Thrifty’s Flexi Fleet programme, said: “With the country’s amazing cycling achievements over the last few years we are thrilled to be working alongside British Cycling and the Great Britain cycling team.

“It’s fantastic that they have recognised our brand as one of the leading suppliers of vehicle rental and are able to take advantage of our Flexi Fleet product, with its unique qualities, to assist with their fleet requirements.”

British Cycling commercial director Jonathan Rigby said: “Our partnership with Thrifty promises to be a positive one for our staff, members and British Cycling as a whole, thanks to their accessible and extensive fleet network across the UK.

“We are proud to hold a shared passion for life in the saddle, and our new relationship gives us the exciting opportunity to play a part in facilitating that for diverse groups of people.

“A partnership like this is hugely important in helping us to extend the range of benefits available to our members.”
