Accessory firm Truckman is introducing a new version of the Decked storage system which is compatible with vans.

Developed in the US, Decked was brought to the UK market by Truckman 18 months ago as a pull-out drawer storage system for pick-up trucks.

Since then, the firm says it has attracted a growing number of enquiries from van users looking for a similar product, so it has now developed a version which is compatible with the Citroen Relay, Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Ford Transit.

It features two bed-length drawers, which roll out to provide access to tools and equipment and can carry up to 100kg each, along with two integrated storage bins for smaller items.

Made with high density polyethylene, the product can hold up to 1,000kg on its raised deck, which is supported by a galvanised steel sub-frame.

The product, which comes with a three-year warranty, is priced from £1,776, excluding VAT.

It is said to require minimal drilling to install, and can be fitted at Truckman’s Fitting Centre in the West Midlands.

Truckman executive chairman Mike Wheeler said: “Decked has proven to be a popular storage solution for our pick-up truck customers and led to lots of enquiries from van users who wanted something similar for their vehicles.

“We have responded with a version of Decked that fits perfectly in some of the most widely-used UK van models, offering secure storage without impacting on the rest of the vehicle’s storage space.

“This new version of Decked offers the same benefits as the pick-up truck model, with its high-quality build and practical storage options.

“It is extremely tough and can stand up to the challenges of working in industries like building and plumbing, giving van users a long-life, secure storage solution.”
