Vauxhall reveals new Vivaro medium van

Vauxhall has unveiled pictures and details of its new Vivaro medium van, which is based on the same platform as the Citroen Dispatch and Peugeot Expert.
The third-generation of the model, it will be available in two lengths – 4.95m and 5.30m – and three bodystyles – panel van, crew cab and platform chassis.
Order books will open in February, ahead of the model making its debut at the CV Show in April, with the first vans arriving in showrooms in the summer.
A battery electric Vivaro is then set to follow in 2020.
The new Vivaro has a maximum cargo capacity of 6.6m3, and a payload of up to 1,400kg – 200kg more than the outgoing model.
The maximum trailer load has also increased, from 2,000kg to 2,500kg.
Objects up to 4.02m in length can be carried in the 5.30m model thanks to a Flex Cargo load-through flap under the front passenger seat.
The middle seat in the cabin can also be folded down to form a table.
Automatic side sliding doors are available, activated by a foot movement.
An optional IntelliGrip traction control system is designed to provide grip on surfaces such as mud, sand and snow, and includes a work-site set-up with higher ground clearance and underbody protection.
A driver head-up display is available, as are driver assistance systems including lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, drowsiness alert, adaptive cruise control, forward collision alert and autonomous emergency braking.
Also available are parking and blindspot sensors and a rear-view camera.
A multimedia 7.0in touchscreen features phone integration with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, while the upgraded Multimedia Navi system features European navigation with 3D view, along with live traffic information, direct connection with roadside assistance and emergency call.
A range of driving seat adjustments, some of them electric, will also be available, including lumbar support, along with an armrest.
Prices are yet to be revealed.
