One-coloured swap shop: Citroen is offering big savings on its vans

Citroën has announced a ‘swappage scheme’, which gives buyers of new Citroën LCVs between £5,000 and £10,000, excluding VAT, off if they trade in an LCV registered before 2014.

The scheme is available to anyone trading in an LCV originally registered before 1 January 2014 that they’ve owned for at least 90 days.

Although it sounds like a scrappage scheme, it isn’t – the vans are taken in part-exchange as normal and the scheme is not related to any government incentive.

The manufacturer is offering £5,000 off a new Berlingo, rising to £6,500 off a Dispatch or Relay 30, £9,000 off a Relay 33, or £10,000 off a Relay 35, 40 or ‘Ready to Run’ conversion. That discount comes on top of the trade-in price of the old LCV.

Those interested in the discounts will have to be quick, as it’s only running until 31 March 2020.

Ed Hickin, Citroën UK’s head of business sales, said: “We are excited to be able to offer our Citroën LCV Swappage Scheme across the UK. With savings of up to £10,000 towards a new Citroën van, the Swappage Scheme offers a huge incentive for business and private buyers to gain significant savings on their next van.”
