Europcar Vans and Trucks is aiming to attract new business from LCV operators who are struggling to replenish their fleets due to a shortage of new stock.

The rental firm is also targeting customers shying away from outright purchases due to the ongoing economic uncertainty.

With the semi-conductor crisis putting the brakes on new LCV production and pushing up used prices and the economy still fragile as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, Europcar claims its long-term Month+ rental deals offer a flexible alternative to ownership while eliminating the financial risk of buying vans.

“The challenge right now for van drivers is having access to the right vehicles for the job, but with flexibility to change if their customer needs alter,” said Clive Forsythe, commercial director, Europcar Mobility Group. “After a year and a half of uncertainty, van drivers also want to avoid being tied into three to four year financial commitments and our message with this wide-ranging campaign is that Europcar is the van specialist drivers can trust, with long-term rental solutions that offer an immensely flexible alternative to ownership or leasing.”

Europcar is advertising its rental deals at 24 motorway service stations in the UK.
