New Fiat Scudo van announced

The return of the Scudo medium van has been announced by Fiat Professional.
The model’s revival for the first time since 2016 will see it based on the EMP2 platform used by the Peugeot Expert, Citroen Dispatch, and Vauxhall Vivaro – vans from other brands in the Stellantis group, which Fiat joined earlier this year.
In the years since the previous Scudo, also based on a shared platform with Peugeot and Citroen, was axed, Fiat’s medium van offering has been the Talento, based on the Renault Trafic.
The new Scudo will be available with a choice of ICE or electric powertrains, and with a choice of three bodystyles – van, combi, and cab with platform.
The Scudo will be built alongside a Ulysse passenger-carrying variant at Stellantis’s factory in Hordain, near Valenciennes in northern France, where its predecessors were previously built between 1996 and 2012.
Full UK specs and prices for the new Scudo will be announced later this year. Orders will open around the end of the year.
