Cherrypicker body builder CPL (Cumberland Platforms), which belongs to the Klubb Group of conversion specialists, has joined the struggle to stem the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic by using its 3D printer to make parts for PPE (personal protection equipment) face shields for NHS workers.

CPL has also worked with other companies within the Klubb Group to develop two other products to protect people against the spread of the virus. The first is a polycarbonate partition that fits into a van cabin to provide a screen between the driver and passenger, which CPL claims can be assembled within 10 minutes.

The second is a handwash kit, including a jerrycan with a tap, a liquid soap dispenser and a paper towel dispenser to enable workers to wash their hands frequently during their interventions as prescribed in anti-viral hygiene guidelines.
